a bit about us
Kia ora, we’re the Auckland University of Technology Student Association, but you can call
us AUTSA. It’s nice to meet you.
So, what exactly does a student association do, you may ask? Well, rather a lot of things actually. We’re a small team of busy people doing our best to make AUT a fun, safe and enjoyable place to be for all students. We run events and activities to give you a break from all that swot, publish a kickass student magazine, offer a range of clubs and societies, represent your interests within the university, offer legal advice when you’re in a sticky situation, help you find a job while you’re studying and much, much more! Think of us as your voice on campus, but with a bunch of fun stuff and free food on the side. Pretty cool, huh? We think so.
Our vision: To be the best student association in New Zealand.
Our mission: To give a voice to AUT’s diverse student body and bring vibrancy and meaning to life on campus.
Our purpose: “To be the heart of AUT, proudly representing, serving and advocating for all students”.
AUTSA is on a mission to become the best student association in Aotearoa, but we can only do that with the help of our students. If you notice something that needs work, or have any suggestions for how we can improve, we would love to hear from you!
we tick all the boxes
AUTSA is the first student association in all of New Zealand to get the Rainbow Tick! Go us! We are beyond stoked to be recognised as an organisation that supports AUT’s colourful Rainbow community, both inside the office and OUT.
compulsory student services fee
The Compulsory Student Services Fee (or Student Services Levy) contributes to funding student services, buildings and other facilities that students use. AUT invoices students for the fee at the same time as we invoice students for their tuition fees.
