What is AUTSA membership?
AUTSA is the independent Students’ Association representing students at AUT. Being an AUTSA member means you are formally part of your Students’ Association and have a voice in how it is represented, governed and shaped.
When you enrol at AUT, you automatically become an AUTSA member unless you choose to opt out. Membership is free and gives you the right to vote in AUTSA elections and general meetings, stand for student leadership positions, participate in AUTSA’s governance, and have a say in the future direction of your Students’ Association.
Importantly, AUTSA membership is separate from access to AUTSA services. Whether you remain a member or choose to opt out, eligible AUT students can still access AUTSA services funded through the CSSF.
Who is an AUTSA Member?
Students enrolled in a programme of study at AUT are automatically accepted as AUTSA Student Members unless they choose to opt out.
